WOOD RESTORATION

Do you remember the look of your house, deck, fence, benches, planters or etc., when it was first installed? It probably was not gray. Let us properly strip, brighten, seal/stain and restore your wood. Like anything exposed to the elements, your outside wood surfaces get dirty and need a good cleaning from time to time. These can include decks, fences, and even outside walls. The best time to perform wood cleaning is before damage starts to appear. Loose nails, warping, and fading are all signs of trouble. You will want to pressure wash your wood to clean it, and then treat the wood to prevent damage.

CLEANING - Wood decks are cleaned with low pressure rinsing dead wood cells (graying), dirt, mold, mildew away. High pressure scars wood and removes soft wood leaving the surface felling rough and splintered. The cleaner with low pressure is the key to cleaning wood with damage. Gray just disappears.

REPAIRS - All Star Cleaning does minor repairs from replacing broken and rotten boards to sanding hand rails making wood smooth again.

SEALING and REFINISHING - after the deck has properly dried out (usually within a couple of days), we will return and apply one of our wood protectants. Sealing and refinishing insures the life of the wood.

There is always a brightened color change, because a thick layer of the dark, dingy color of bacterial damage, sun damage, graying and seasonal stresses is removed with the high-pressure water. The exact degree of lightening to be expected is dependent upon the wood type, the age and the condition of the wood.
